What is Coworking and How the Job Market Changed in 2021.

Have you ever thought of working remotely but was discouraged by the comfort of your own home? Or wished you would still have a dedicated office for working where your puppy wouldn’t ask you to play with the ball every hour? Well, we found a solution for you! Coworking!

2020 was a year of change… It changed our lives, our work, and the world. Working from home used to be pretty rare but became a complete norm since COVID-19 started. According to Forbes, an estimated 70% of the workforce will be working remotely at least 5 days a month by 2025. In 2021 the percentage of remote workers almost doubled. The American Psychological Association conducted a research where it showed that telecommuting increased job satisfaction, performance and feelings of commitment to an organization among employees. However, they also found that the clouding of work-family boundaries is a significant challenge for remote employees. And this where co-working space comes in hand!

What is Coworking and Why Do You Need It?

So, what is coworking? You probably have heard that word a lot but maybe never fully understood what it is. Co-working combines two words: “co” meaning together with others and “working”. Simply put, working with others under one roof.

Co-working is an alternative to working from home. However, this way you are not isolated. Let’s look into some other benefits of a coworking space:

  • You can feel more motivated by being in the environment where other people are also working

  • It helps you to set boundaries between workplace and home by having a dedicated workplace

  • Your cute little puppy won’t distract you :)

What If I Want Privacy?

Most coworking spaces also offer private offices for rent and dedicated desks. That way you can find some privacy for phone calls, business meetings, and just for your personal use. You can come in and work every day, and leave all your work materials without worrying about carrying it with you. Another great way to literally separate work from home ;)

Who is Coworking Space for?

  • Freelancers

Coworking space would work great for freelancers - people who work for different companies and perform specific tasks. If you’re a freelancer, coworking space will provide you with the feeling of having your own workspace and will help you to get out of your house ;)

  • Entrepreneurs

Starting your own business and don’t want to have extra expenses such as renting an office? Coworking space would fit you and your needs! The space would serve you as a great alternative to an office while you’re working those long days!

  • Companies

Another great use for coworking space is company’s events! Usually every coworking space offers an event space where you can have a Happy Hour with your team.

  • Remote Employees

Work for the company remotely and looking for a dedicated space to work? Coworking space is a great solution! Budget friendly and work-oriented, coworking space will be a good idea for those who are looking to separate work from home while getting some tasks done.
