The FLC Downtown Center connects Fort Lewis College with communities across the Four Corners through shared space, strong partnerships, and work that advances regional priorities. Formerly the Center for Innovation, the Center builds on years of community connection with an expanded role in workforce development, economic opportunity, and civic life.

We believe the region grows stronger when its institutions and people work together to shape what comes next. The Downtown Center is where that happens. FLC programs, businesses, public agencies, nonprofits, and community members meet here to share what they know, connect people with resources, and build new opportunities. Community priorities and knowledge shape this work alongside the College’s expertise and resources.

Our partners include the City of Durango Prosperity Office, FLC@Work, the Fort Lewis College AI Institute, the La Plata Economic Development Alliance, SCAPE, and the Southwest Colorado SBDC. Working in proximity makes it easier to trade ideas, point people to the right help, and launch projects together. We want this kind of collaboration to be part of everyday life, with regular chances to turn conversations into action. Come in and be part of it.
